ALL THAT JAZZ - Put on those dancing shoes and get ready to move & groove to the music. This class utilizes many styles from Broadway to Rock n`Roll.
BALLET FLOORE BARRE & STRETCH - Ballet Floor Barre consists of exercises based on Ballet steps performed lying and sitting on the floor. It's an ideal way to strengthen, lengthen and tone, whilst increasing flexibility. This class is suitable for all levels (no ballet training necessary). Participants will need a yoga mat. Offered in the spring session only.
BALLETONE - It’s a total exercise regime. Shape, stretch and tone your muscles in a way that helps to prevent injury. Ballet movements work the entire body, strengthening and toning the muscles while bringing grace and control to your everyday physical activity!
Offered in the fall and winter session only.
CARDIO JAZZ - Engage in aerobic movements combining elements of jazz dance. This class will focus on improving muscular tone and cardiovascular endurance while having fun and dancing to a variety of music. Running shoes should be worn for this class. Offered in the spring session only.
CLOGGING FOR FUN - A "beginner plus/easy intermediate" level class for dancers who wish to develop their clogging skills. A routine will be taught each session. At the instructors discretion members will have the opportunity to perform at community shows. This is a 30 minute class. Offered in the fall and winter session only.
FOOTNOTES TAP - A performance tap class for the experienced dancer that explores a variety of styles. Audition required.
FOOTNOTES JAZZ - A performance class for the dancer who has a strong understanding of jazz technique. Have fun learning choreography to different genres of music from popular to vintage. Audition required.
FUNKY JAZZ - A fun class utilizing a variety of jazz styles ranging from contemporary to hip hop, suitable for the strong dancer looking to improve their technique. Not suitable for beginners.
GOLDEN GIRLS AND GUYS - If you enjoy musical theatre, this is the class for you! Here is your opportunity to perform songs from the movies and Broadway. Numbers will be choreographed with the emphasis on using your voice, dance basics, acting skills and unique personality. Offered in the winter and spring session only.
PLEASE NOTE this is a performance - class costume is required.
Gotta SING, GOTTA DANCE! ENSEMBLE - "Celebrate the Art of Staying Young" by taking to the stage as part of this group jazz dance number. This routine is traditionally used to open either Act 1 or Act 2 of our June show. Not suitable for beginners.
HEART ‘N SOLE CLOGGERS - This high energy performance class is offered to participants with a minimum of 3 years experience.
JAZZ IT UP! - An intermediate level class for dancers who have a strong understanding of jazz terminology. A routine will be taught each session. At the instructors discretion members will have the opportunity to perform at community shows. This is a 30 minute class. Offered in the fall and winter session only.
JAZZ TECHNIQUE - This class is offered to dancers who wish to develop and strengthen their jazz technique. The class will consist of a warm up, traveling progressions across the floor along with combinations to help keep you fit while improving your jazz style! Offered in the fall and winter session only.
RHYTHM OF THE SPIRIT - a lyrical/contemporary/ballet performance class with focus on freedom of movement while developing the dancer’s emotional connection to the piece. This class is suitable for the dancer with strong understanding of ballet terminology. (Audition required)
ROCKETTES - Here’s your chance to strut your stuff on stage in this ‘intermediate’ level tap troupe. In this class, dance styles may vary according to music selection.
SIMPLY TAP - A non-performing tap class will consist of a warm-up and a review of tap terminology. A routine will be taught each session. At the instructors discretion members will have the opportunity to perform at community shows. Offered in the fall and winter session only.
STEPPIN’ OUT – Move your feet to the tap dance beat in this intermediate plus level adult class. Suitable for dancers who have past performance experience or for those who wish to make their dance debut on stage!
SYNCOPATION PLUS - A great class for those students who wish to improve their advanced level tap skills. Focus will be on rhythm, style and clarity of sound to help develop a strong dancer/performer.
TAP BASICS & BEYOND - An introduction to the rhythms and coordination of tap dance. Students will learn proper technique to create clear distinct sounds. Suitable for dancers who have tapped before and wish to refresh their skills.
TURN ON THE TAP! - A tap technique class for dancers who have a strong understanding of Intermediate tap terminology.
‘TAP’TATIONS - An upbeat, fast paced, advanced level performance tap class. Audition required.
