Demographics
The members of the Troupe are over 50 years of age and some are in their 80s. Gray-haired persons vastly outnumber younger ones among the attendees at our performances.
Ryan Remiorz of the Canadian Press recently wrote this:
“Fuelled by an influx of Baby Boomers, Canadians approaching retirement are now the fastest growing demographic in the country, new census data suggests.
According to the 2006 census, the number of Canadians aged 65 and over increased 11.5 per cent in the previous five years.”
