Gotta SING, Gotta DANCE 2009

Photo Cam JacksonOn behalf of the Council of the City of Burlington, I am thrilled to welcome you to Burlington Footnotes’ annual production of Gotta SING, Gotta DANCE.

This year Burlington became one of the first communities in Canada to declare itself an “Age Friendly City” under the World Health Organization’s international guidelines. This declaration demonstrates our City’s ongoing respect for the unlimited potential of our mature citizens and it promotes opportunities for our seniors to be healthy, active and creative. The Burlington Footnotes Seniors Performing Troupe is the very embodiment of this important community standard as reflected in their commitment to providing a “professional and inspirational atmosphere for older adults to reach their creative potential”.

Gotta SING, Gotta DANCE Celebrates the Art of Staying Young and there are no finer senior performers in Burlington to deliver that vital message. Congratulations and continued success to Burlington Footnotes Senior Performing Troupe!

Sincerely,

Mayor Cam Jackson City of Burlington
